Hard earned win for Bandon
Bandon edged this game on the score of 4-2. Playing against the wind in the first half, Bandon conceded from a 30 yarder from outside the box after 2 minutes. Indeed, in the first 15 minutes, Bandon were on the backfoot and committed defending kept the score the same. After 15 minutes, Bandon got back into the game with a great strike from Iruka Nnmaeka. Bandon moved up a gear and were soon 2 nil up when Buttevant failed to clear from a corner and Oisin Gillian capitalised.
Just before the break Brian O Driscoll made it 3 – 1 for Bandon with a well worked goal. With the breeze at their back in the second half, Bandon dominated and scored again after ten minutes from Cian Barry. In truth Bandon had more chances to score but as it turned out conceded a soft goal when failing to clear a cross into the box.
Best for Bandon were John Ryan and Oisin Gillian in defence, James Aherne in midfield and Dara Crowley in attack – Man of the match – Oisin Gillian
