Bandon got off to a slow start finding themselves trailing 2-0 after the first 15 minutes. After some tactical advice from the manager, they got back into the game with captain Gavin Lowney pulling one back. First half ended 2-1.
The second half saw Bandon start quickly with Conor Twomey levelling the game. Ballinhassig’s goalkeeper was excellent making some fantastic saved from shots by Ethan Molloy and Chrion Obialor. Likewise Bandon’s goalkeeper Donagh Quinn was kept busy keeping out at least 3 clear chances from Ballinhassig. It was 4-4 with minutes to go when Bandon were awarded a penalty. Man of the match, Gavin Lowney put it away to finish this exciting match 5-4 to Bandon. Other scorers were Keelan Crowley and Matthew Tracey.
