A Dara Crowley brace decided the outcome of this game in what was a convincing display from the Bandon side. Dara put Bandon ahead ten minutes before half time with a classic individual goal. He dribbled past two players on the left side of the box before cutting in and releasing an unstoppable shot past the keeper. Ten minutes into the second half and Dara found a pocket of space, seeing the goal open up, he struck high into the right hand side of the goal with the keeper again stranded.
While Bandon were dominant for most of the game Douglas did threaten on a number of occasions and Oliver Toth, the Bandon Keeper had to be on his toes and make a few critical saves. A long range shot from one Douglas midfielder caught Oliver off guard with 15 minutes to go and sailed over his head into the goal. Bandon rallied from here to the end and should have put the game to bed with Iruka Nnameka, Cian Barry and CJ Bryan going close.
Best for Bandon were Konrad Muraka, Tom Warner and Dara Crowley
