Bandon travelled to play 3rd in the table in awful conditions on Sunday 12th January. Both teams coped very well with the rain and wind to provide a very enjoyable match.
Bandon went ahead after five mins when Eoin Hurley played a great ball in between Evergreens centre backs for Denzil Fernandez to place the ball beyond the keeper. Bandon were playing against the elements and did well to hold the lead to half time.
The second half was ten mins old when Eoin Nolan scored a very good goal when he shot at a loose ball just in the penalty area. Bandon were now playing as well as any game this season and Jordan McCabe made a run down the left wing and hit an unstoppable shot to the roof of the net to make it 3 nil.
Bandon went four up after 60 mins when Denzil Fernandez scored his second goal which was just reward for his non stop effort. The scoring was finished when Eoin Hurley who was outstanding throughout the whole game gave the keeper no chance with a cool finish.
Bandon deserved the victory as all the players put in a great effort. As well as those mentioned Jack Kelly James Kelleher Colm Dineen stood out for Bandon.
