Bandon’s Under 15 had a good away victory to keep their winning run going. In a match played at Leeds Park both teams were slow to get going but Bandon began to improve after 10 mins when they got used to the pace of the pitch. Eoin Hurley opened the scoring with a great shot to the roof of the net from 30 yards in the 25th minute. Bandon went two up when Sam Shorten was on hand to put the ball in the back of the net after a goalmouth scramble. After 35 mins Colm Dineen scored number three to leave Bandon 3 up at the interval. Eoin Nolan after 59 mins made it no 4 when he cut in from the right of the penalty area and gave the keeper no chance. Joe Gibson then made a fine run beating 2 defenders before passing to Eoin Nolan who scored his second and Bandon’s 5th. Leeds scored a late goal when Bandon failed to defend a free kick. Overall a good display by all but Brian’O Connell, Jack Kelly and Joe Gibson played well. Peter Blake also played well when he came on, but Man Of The Match this week was Eoin Hurley who gave a great display in midfield.
