Bandon performed really well against league favourites Macroom. This was a game of high intensity and physicality. Bandon took the lead through a volley from Jason Mayiji after 15 minutes. Bandon played really well in first half and created a few chances but could not get the second. Sloppy defending left Macroom in for their equaliser. 1-1 at half time. In the second half Bandon started poorly and Macroom took a deserved lead through a free kick from the edge of the box. Bandon called on a strong bench of substitutes and from the 50th minute onward, Bandon dominated. Dylan Crean equalised with a stunning half voley on 70 minutes and then set up the third for Jason mayiji whos’s good header put Bandon 3-2 up with 10 minutes to go. Unfortunately for the second week in a row Bandon conceded an equaliser in 90th minute. So what could easily have been 6 points is only 2 after 3 games but this team are starting to click.
Man of the match – Jason mayiji – Great goal and all round performance.
