Seniors vs Macroom – 6th May 2023 – Pop Keller Cup QF

Bandon win 3-0
Goals: Luke Harringron, Brendan Cullen x2

Bandon hosted Macroom in the Pop Keller 1/4 final last Saturday. Both teams got off to bright start creating some half chances. The more the game went on Bandon starting gained more control. Down the right hand side Eoin Hurley and Mike Crean were linking up well. 20 mins into the game Bandon broke the deadlock when Luke Harrington go onto a Cullen flick. His first shot saved by the keeper but he cooly slotted the rebound home.
1-0 at half time.
Macroom came out fighting in the second half. They caught Bandon on the counter and leveled the game after 15 mins.
Bandon push on to get the win within 90 mins. This time it was down the left with James McSweeney and Jack O’Donoghue linking up before Jack set up Cullen for his first of the day. Again his first shot was saved well by Macroom keeper but made no mistake with the rebound.
10 mins later a well work corner from Lee Holland found Cullen who headed home Bandon’s 3rd.
The game ended 3-1. Bandon progress to a Home Semi Final against Passage.
