U15 Boys vs Passage – 21st Sept 2019 – Div 1

Bandon win 5-1
Bandon U15’s third game of the season was played last Saturday morning in the Townpark against Passage AFC whom were promoted from Division 2 this year. The game started a very quick pace with Bandon attacking from the off and coming close on numerous occasions. Against the run of play Passage played a long ball from their kick out and a mix up at the back allowed them in for the opening goal. Bandon presses hard to come back and were unlucky with a number if shots and corners. At half time Bandon were down but not out. The second half started with a fierce press from Bandon and soon were back on level terms after a fantastic cross from Paul jnr finished expertly by Joesph Buttimer. From the kick off Bandon presses and were soon rewarded with a second, a sublime run from the centre of mid field from Daragh Power finished nearly in the bottom corner. Passage were under pressure and had a opportunities to come back but some good goal keeping from Sam Grundza kept them at bay. Bandon pushed on again and once more found an opportunity to put the game beyond Passage, a corner from Fionn Ustianowski was finished in spectacular style by Ronan Crowley to make it 3-1. From the restart Bandon presses again and when Paul Jnr found himself in space and the defender had no option but to commit the foul inside the box. The penalty was coolly converted in the bottom corner by Ruairi O’Donovan. This made the score line 4-1. With the game now in the dying minutes Paul Jnr once again made a farting run from just inside the Passage half and beat 2 players and the keeper to nearly finish off and outstanding performance from Bandon. The final score was Bandon 5 Passage 1.
