Tony O’Leary is our new chairman

Our congratulations goes to Mr. Tony O’Leary (right) who was voted in as Bandon AFC’s new chairman in last Thursday night’s AGM held in the Munster Arms. He takes over from Mr. Jim McCarthy (left) who stepped down from the role for which he had held for the past 9 years. Fortunately, Jim will continue to contribute to the club by remaining on the committee. As was spoken about on the night by Tony, Jim’s service and dedication to the club in the position has been tremendous over those 9 years. We sincerely thank him for the commitment he has shown throughout those years in driving the club forward.

 

Tony is a long standing and experienced committee member. He has been a successful chairman of Bandon AFC previously and has also been a successful manager over the years. This year saw Tony and John Hurley take the U16 Boys to a league title loosing only 1 game in the process. We’d like to wish Tony all the very best in his chairmanship and are confident that the club is in steady hands as he takes Bandon AFC forward!
